Batavia Kill Stream Celebration
An inaugural event celebrating the famed Catskill Mountain streams took place on Saturday, August 11, 2007 in the town of Ashland, Greene County. Born through a collaborative effort involving public, private, government, educational and non-profit institutions, the Batavia Kill Stream Celebration (BKSC) was planned to promote and celebrate the natural environment through watershed stewardship and education.
